Roxy Music was an English rock band formed in 1970, led by frontman Bryan Ferry, who served as the lead vocalist and chief songwriter, alongside bassist Graham Simpson. The band's longtime members included Phil Manzanera (guitar), Andy Mackay (saxophone and oboe), and Paul Thompson (drums and percussion). Former members included Brian Eno (synthesizer and "treatments"), Eddie Jobson (synthesizer and violin), and John Gustafson (bass). Roxy Music took breaks from group activities in 1976 and again in 1983, but they reunited for a concert tour in 2001 and continued to tour intermittently until their break-up in 2011. Ferry often collaborated with former band members for his solo projects. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 as performers, Bryan Ferry was awarded a CBE by Her Majesty the Queen of England on November 30, 2011. Throughout their career, Roxy Music released 28 albums and 38 compilations, with 18 making the UK Top 40 charts.
